Fulfilling a need
Eventide, as a team driven, spiritual organization, works each
and every day to provide steadfast support to our residents.
It’s the reason the Eventide Foundation is dedicated
to raising private support that advances Eventide’s mission.
That mission: to promote quality of life in a Christian environment
for seniors and their families by providing innovation and
leadership in senior living resulting in individualized services
in a variety of settings.
Our work does not stand alone.
At the Eventide Foundation, we raise private support to sustain
the many elements Eventide needs to fulfill its mission. In
addition to a full continuum of housing and care services,
Eventide also offers spiritual care programs and extensive
activities schedules. We work with donors to find the charitable
gifting options that best fit their philanthropic goals, and
make every attempt to provide options so that people considering
gifts can decide if writing a check, making a bequest or establishing
a gift annuity is right for them. In recent years, the Foundation
has directly supported the purchase of a new resident van,
the addition of new wellness and therapy equipment and the
development of the Short Stay Centre.
Your gift to Eventide Senior Living Community can support our
mission in a number of ways.
Unrestricted Gifts
Gifts for undesignated purposes enable Eventide to respond quickly
to the areas of greatest need throughout our organization.
Unrestricted gifts are used to meet our top priorities for
resident care and services.
Chaplaincy Endowment
The Chaplaincy Endowment is an important source to ensure the
residents of Eventide receive quality spiritual care. Gifts
to the Chaplaincy Endowment are held in trust with only the
earnings spent. The earnings from the Chaplaincy Endowment
provide a permanent source of revenue for the Chaplaincy program,
which includes weekly worship services, bible studies, support
groups, devotional prayer and pastoral care.
Elder Care Endowment
Wide-ranging care means that our residents can receive better
care. Eventide’s continuum of care provides support and
programs specifically tailored for individual needs. The Elder
Care Endowment provides new equipment or services to respond
to the changes in senior health care.

Barb Rom Endowment
Given in honor of Eventide’s first volunteer coordinator, the Barb Rom
Endowment helps strengthen Eventide’s volunteer program. Approximately
400 people volunteer their time to Eventide. By naming the Barb Rom Endowment
you will enable and encourage the work of many individuals who give of their
time and energy to help accomplish Eventide’s mission.
Scholarship Endowment
Eventide has established a scholarship program to encourage and
assist employees. The scholarship endowment will help recruit
and retain dedicated employees and help Eventide continue its
tradition of quality service though a well-trained staff.
Future Support
All charitable gifts are meaningful, but certain gifts can have
added significance for you and for Eventide. These gifts are
often called planned gifts and may also be known as estate
gifts. People of any income or estate can express important
values by including Eventide in their estate plans. Planned
gifts of bequests, charitable gift annuities, and beneficiary
designations or gifts of more immediate support may include
gifts of cash, stock or other securities.
All gifts to Eventide are life-changing in one way or another,
and greatly appreciated by all. Any gift, whether immediate or
deferred, can have special significance by being given in memory
or honor of a friend or loved one. Eventide Foundation prepares
this information for donors and friends. Its purpose is to provide
helpful information to those who plan charitable gifts. You should
always consult a financial advisor to assure the applicability
of any information to your own circumstances.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas you
have about supporting Eventide.
