Workforce Development
A strong, compassionate workforce is essential to fulfilling Eventide’s mission. Workforce Development initiatives invest in caregivers at every stage of their journey, from launching careers in senior care to advancing skills through new training and certifications. Through scholarships and specialized courses, these programs remove financial barriers, expand access to education, and equip caregivers with evidence-based skills—ensuring residents are cared for by confident, well-prepared professionals.
Meals on Wheels
Since 1967, Eventide Meals on Wheels (formerly known as Tabitha Meals on Wheels) has provided nearly 6 million meals to homebound seniors in Lincoln, Nebraska. The program addresses two growing challenges among older adults—hunger and isolation—by pairing reliable meal delivery with a friendly check-in. Dedicated volunteers deliver hundreds of nutritious meals each weekday, offering nourishment, social connection, and wellness checks that help seniors remain independent in their homes. The Eventide Foundation is a critical source of funding for Meals on Wheels, as 82% of recipients cannot afford the full cost. Learn more about Meals on Wheels here.
Daydream Project
The Daydream Project fulfills heartfelt wishes for Eventide residents, creating experiences that spark joy and connection. Whether it’s attending a concert, traveling to a family reunion, or taking a veteran honor flight, these special moments rekindle cherished memories, strengthen emotional well-being, and create priceless experiences for residents and their families.
Music Therapy (Fargo and Moorhead)
Music therapy offers a powerful pathway to connection, especially for individuals living with memory loss or chronic illness. Certified music therapists lead individual and group sessions in Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota, that promote well-being, cognitive engagement, and joy. Through rhythm and melody, residents often experience reduced anxiety, increased interaction, and meaningful moments of recognition and comfort for residents and their families.
Employee Support Fund
When unexpected hardships arise, the Employee Support Fund provides confidential, immediate assistance to Eventide staff. By helping cover expenses such as rent, utilities, or funeral costs, the fund offers stability during difficult times, allowing caregivers to stay focused on their work and ensuring residents continue to receive consistent care.
