Dear Families and Friends,
This is an extremely challenging time, especially for our residents and families. Not being able to see your loved one who lives in one of our communities makes this time full of unknowns even more difficult. Please know we are doing our best to continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and that our top priority is to protect our residents and staff.
Beginning today, our plan is to keep you informed by posting regular updates on our website as we have new information. If there is ever a change concerning your loved one, a staff member at the campus will personally call you and you are always welcome to contact us.
Currently, COVID-19 is present at two of our locations, Eventide Fargo and Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead. The North Dakota Department of Health provided testing for all Eventide Fargo residents and staff and we have received the results. Two additional residents tested positive for COVID-19 in our Eventide Fargo care center, as well as 7 staff, bringing the total to 13 residents and 9 staff. One staff member in the senior living apartments tested positive.
Interestingly, in all of the testing of our Fargo campus, 30% of all those testing positive were asymptomatic, or without any symptoms.
On Friday, April 17, we reported our first positive case of COVID-19 at Eventide on Eighth care center. After additional testing this weekend, we have confirmed a total of 10 care center residents testing positive, while awaiting some additional test results. No staff have tested positive at this time.
Eventide serves approximately 1200 residents daily, with about 600 of those residents living in our six care centers. Each care center has a variety of units and there are designated isolation units at each campus.
Our communities continue to follow all recommended guidance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the state Departments of Health to protect our residents and staff from this virus.
