Dear Families and Friends,
Over the past couple of months there have been many times we were able to report zero cases of COVID-19 in our facilities. Although we experienced a lower rate of cases, we did not ease in our strict use of PPE and infection prevention practices. If fact, our dedication has contributed to the low numbers. A glance at our current situation shows our cases remain fairly low, although we are on guard going into influenza season. What our numbers below do not show is that we have an increased amount of employees out on leave due to exposure. With community cases climbing and schools back in session, exposure has increased and this may potentially create a staffing issue for us.
Not only do we regularly promote safety with our teams when it comes to our work environments, but we encourage our staff to be cautious outside of work too. We also request this of our families and friends who are coming to our campuses to visit their loved ones. It is important to consciously defend yourself and your loved ones in regards to COVID-19. If you are planning to visit a resident, please avoid crowds, wash your hands often, and physically distance and wear a mask during your visit. Our priority is to protect our residents and staff and it is important that we all do our part.
