Dear Families and Friends,
As all of you are aware, the COVID-19 cases in the counties we serve are high. Community spread continues to be the greatest contributing factor and unfortunately, it is affecting long-term care facilities throughout the Midwest. Eventide is no exception. Rising cases continue to affect staffing as we have a number of employees in quarantine. Although this creates challenges, our priority is our residents and we are committed to their care.
We are also seeing COVID-19 inside some of our facilities. Each of our locations continues to practice strict infection prevention protocol and follows the guidance of our state health departments, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We learned a great deal this spring when COVID-19 first appeared in our buildings and that knowledge continues to serve us in managing the virus.
Due to restricted visitation, we encourage you to schedule a virtual visit with your loved one and send them a greeting through our Send-a-Card service. I know it is difficult not visiting in person and I hope that we can get back to being able to offer visitation again soon.
