This fall has brought what we were all hoping it would not – a surge of COVID-19. The two states in which we serve are experiencing increasing infection rates as each day goes by. In looking at facilities across both states, long term care communities have been no exception to the growing number of cases. This means that staff in long term care facilities, and all of healthcare, are working harder than ever before.
I cannot thank our dedicated employees enough for giving so much as we face this challenge. As I have said before, working in long term care is a calling. Our staff show up each day because they care so deeply for the individuals we serve. This is quite likely the greatest challenge healthcare workers will face in their careers. Thanks to each and every one of you.
