COVID-19 Update 6-19-20

Dear Families and Friends,

I have seen pictures and heard stories of visits that have taken place at our North Dakota facilities since outdoor visits started last week. It is wonderful to see families and friends reuniting. Two of our locations in Devils Lake have now entered Phase 2 of North Dakota’s Smart Restart plan. Eventide Downtown and Eventide Lake Country Manor can now allow visitation within their buildings. Visitations will be restricted to one visitor per resident. Both the visitor and the resident will be required to wear masks. Being that Devils Lake is in Ramsey County, which is labeled as a “blue” county on the Smart Restart map, our Eventide communities here will be moving to advanced phases, and less restrictions, more quickly than our locations that are in higher risk counties. We will continue to follow this guidance as we look to ease restrictions at all of our facilities.

This week, Minnesota released guidance on outdoor visits. We know many of our Minnesota residents and families have been waiting for this, and we are anxious to start these visits. Our Minnesota teams are working hard to make this happen and as soon as we have details we will share them with you.

Please refer to this information to schedule a visit at our North Dakota locations. We will add the Minnesota information soon.

Thank you for your continued patience and support as we carefully and thoughtfully ease restrictions.

*The cases reported on the North Dakota Health site are considered active if a resident or staff member have tested positive, but are no longer counted as an active case after 10 days. Eventide follows the CDC test-based strategy in North Dakota which classifies residents as recovered after two consecutive negative tests. Please refer to our updates for accurate information on Eventide’s active cases.
