Dear Families and Friends,
We found out today that we will be administering our very first COVID-19 vaccines early next week. What incredible news as we celebrate the Christmas season! The first vaccines will be given at our Eventide on Eighth care center in Moorhead to residents and staff. We are also planning to administer the vaccine at our Eventide Heartland care center and Eventide Downtown care center, both in Devils Lake, on December 31. We expect our other North Dakota locations to receive shipments in the next two weeks.
I think I speak for many of our residents, families and staff when I say that this feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a long road to get here, and I am grateful for the continued support we receive from our residents and families.
In a radio interview this week, the host of the show commented that Eventide staff are “the hands and feet of Jesus.” I couldn’t agree more. The dedication each of our team members has given every day of this pandemic is unbelievable. I continue to be humbled by how much compassion, care and energy each of our employees has given to our residents and each other. I have never been more proud to lead this organization.
