Just beneath this feel-good story about a boy, a guitar and his music teacher lies an important lesson: it feels good to show people how much they mean to us.
John Ness, a retired music teacher who’s lived with us at Eventide at The Linden in Moorhead since the summer of 2023, reunited with former student Kevin Gerdes recently and it made quite an impact on our community. In fact, the story was so amazing that the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead covered it in local news.
“I don’t think Mr. Ness knows how much he really made a difference in my life,” Kevin said. “I wanted to make sure he understood that I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.”
We are grateful for John’s legacy and equally grateful to be able to share his story with the community.
